Swimmin g Pool Rules and Regulations

1. By entering the gym the visitor acknowledges the general house and gym rules, especially §2 “usage rights”

  • During lecture period, sports students (at request of the staff, evidence must be provided at all times) are entitled to use all gyms (special regulation for the fitness room) during 8.00 am – 4.00 pm if there are free capacities.
  • Schools and clubs are only allowed to use the gyms requested by them during the requested times. Access to the changing rooms 15 min before the beginning of the training time at the earliest. After 4.00 pm access only with club membership card or together with the instructors.
  • Other users of the Sports Forum including the swimming pools are required to present proof of their usage right upon request of the staff by:
    - unrequested presentation of a valid HSP or VFG ID with a valid booking,
    - unrequested presentation of a valid confirmation of course registration
    - buying of a ticket.


2. By entering the swimming pool area, the visitors also acknowledge the following additional provisions of the swimming pool rules and regulations.

At events in particular, the instructors and trainers or teachers, respectively, also have the responsibility to make sure that all participants as well as visitors abide by these pool rules and regulations:

  • Before using the swimming pools, every visitor is obligated to thoroughly wash their whole body with soap and carefully shower afterwards.
  • Non-swimmers are only allowed to use the teaching pool at times when it is not rented out or occupied by courses.
  • Using the diving tower and diving boards is only allowed after it has been given clearance by the staff and upon the user’s own risk. Stepping on the diving boards is only allowed for one person at a time, diving is only allowed to the front. While the diving facilities are being used, swimming in this area is forbidden.


It is moreover not permitted to:

  • Enter the swimming pool area in street clothing,
  • Enter the swimming pool area with street or sports shoes (flip-flops and beach slippers are allowed),
  • Eat or drink in the swimming pool are, especially glass bottles must not be taken to the swimming pools,
  • Bring bags and the like to the swimming pools,
  • Use balloons at the swimming pools,
  • Run at the swimming pools,
  • Jump in the pools from the long side,
  • Jump into the teaching pool head-first,
  • Hang on to, stand or sit on the swimming lines,
  • Dive under the floating bridge,
  • Use scuba tanks without a rubber foot,
  • Take photos and film, special permits are granted by the Sports Center management,
  • Sexually harass other people²,
  • Disadvantage or discriminate against people because of racist motives, because of their ethnic and/or social origin, their gender, their religion or worldview, because of a disability or chronic disease, their age and/or sexual orientation or identity.
